With three kids it seems as if you’re always on the run, from football practice to dance. Add work to the equation and you feel constantly pulled in multiple directions. Life is hectic as it is; what you don’t need is to feel scattered and spacey all the time. Sp in order to keep things in order try practising some of these simple steps.

Become a listmaker. Studies show that people who make lists and adhere to them are more effieicnt and generally more successful than those who don’t. However few lists are effective if left at home, so whether it’s on paper, your cell phone or on your laptop be sure to have your list(s) with you at all times. Those pocket calendars are a terrific aide as well.

Be clear in all communications. If Tommy thinks you’re picking him up from practice whilst Jane thinks you’re dropping her off at a film, then you’ve got troubles. Find the best way to effectively communicate with each family member and then stick to the methods that work.

Take proper care of yourself. If you constantly eat fast food and never exercise, your memory will suffer as a result. So eat well, get proper rest, consider a brain-function supplement like ginkgo biloba and be sure to drink plenty of water to help keep your brain firing right. Also be sure to take time out for yourself, whether that means taking your morning tea in solitude or having a bath after work – be sure you nourish yourself so that you can also be present for everyone else.
